A Note From Dr. Beverly Nelson, Director
With 2012 approaching its end, it’s a good time to evaluate where we stand. I’m not talking about making a list of which resolutions you kept and which you didn’t – this is about realizing where you are now, compared to where you were last year.
Sometimes we struggle, trying to understand why some things were not possible to accomplish, or why some things we didn’t wish to happen, happened. I invite you to accept circumstances: while they may not be easy, or pleasant, you are where you are for a purpose, and that is to learn how to be happier. The universe wants you to learn those lessons, embrace that message and rise over any obstacle – if you surrender to this experience, you will find things a lot easier to cope with.
Just think about all the things you have learned so far, all the new people you have met – each of them is a teacher, in one way or another, and they entered your life for a reason. Every event that took place in your life during the first nine months of 2012 has made you who you are, brought you to where you are. How are you going to make the best of it?
