“Be the change that you wish to see in the world.”
― Mahatma Gandhi
This has been an amazing year for me. I know it’s been a huge year for many of you as the world is speeding up and transforming in so many ways. So many changes. This year, I got married to the love of my life, Michael Bartlett, and we’re about to celebrate our one year anniversary on September 9th. Out of this marriage, I acquired 4 new step-children and 6 new grandchildren. We moved to the country, outside of San Miguel, and began a remodel on our house together. I survived serious health challenges. Since last July, two of my dearest friends died. And, I’ve also had employees come and go at LifePath.
Because of these changes, I’ve had a lot of time to reflect and reinvent my life. And, I am convinced, more than ever, that we truly are the “change we wish to see in the world”. I know for sure that we’re all on a Hero’s/Heroine’s journey and we’re constantly moving in new directions. What I’ve also found is that the key to these changes is to be conscious while it’s happening and to take responsibility for the changes that we make.
The most remarkable news is that my daughter, Allison Folks, is moving to San Miguel de Allende to help Michael and I run LifePath Center. You can imagine how thrilled I am. The journey continues. Because my daughter has made this huge decision, we will be rethinking and reimagining the business with her input and expertise. How lucky I am that she has put her hand up for this. This is so exciting…. Of course, LifePath will continue to serve our community and the world as a healing and retreat center; we will just be improving all of our services with new energy.
As many of you know, Mitch Ditkoff and I just finished a Hero’s Journey Retreat last week at LifePath. It was a huge success and the 5 brave participants made significant changes in their lives. I am energized and revitalized to be able to be offering this retreat again after so many years. And, many more retreats will be coming. Including a couples retreat offered by my husband and I. It’s so exciting and rewarding to be in the driver’s seat of my changes.
Are you taking responsibility for your life changes? You know I always love to read your comments.
