Happiness is the spiritual experience of living every minute with love, grace, and gratitude. – Denis Waitley
As a result of last week’s newsletter I received many lovely e-mails from you. SO many – I was so overwhelmed and surprised by your support, your trust and your understanding. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart!
The gratitude I feel towards all of you who reached out to me, offering kind words and sharing personal experiences of loss and grief, made me reflect on the strong correlation between gratitude and grace. I certainly felt that correlation throughout my experience of sharing these last few weeks with my dear friend, Glenda Robinson. And, it was profoundly apparent during her passage this last Sunday. The words, “thank you” were uttered through the lips of each of those persons present, including Glenda.
What is ‘grace’? It is a state of connection with the divine, but it is most of all a state of complete and perfect peace.
Exercising gratitude every single day, we see a dramatic transformation in our lives. My experience was very significant. But, even the most mundane and apparently insignificant actions acquire a new dimension. From taking a morning shower to enjoying a nice cup of tea, gratitude transforms simple acknowledgement into grace.
Say thanks from your heart, for every single thing, and you will feel grace upon you, transforming everything into so much more.
Looking forward to your comments as always. docbeverly@aol.com.
