Today is a Special Day

Tomorrow is Mother’s Day in the United States where it’s always the second Sunday in May. I tried to explain that to my Mexican neighbors and they couldn’t understand why Mother’s Day wasn’t always on the same day every year like it is in Mexico. That conversation made me think about special days – we have so many. There is Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Children’s Day, Christmas Day, Thanksgiving Day, Independence Day, Day of the Dead, Memorial Day, Easter Day, Birthday, etc. etc. As I thought about it, I became curious to know what today, May the 13th, is because it doesn’t seem particularly special. Creating and conducting transformational retreats and creating retreat centers to provide alternative health therapies has long been a passion of mine.
