One of the highlights of our Spring Offerings earlier this year was the wonderful class on spiritual poetry with the inspired teacher, Ravi Nathwani. We are pleased to announce that Ravi is back at LifePath Center!
Every Tuesday, 3:30-4:45 PM, starting Dec 13: Poetry of Spirit and Consciousness
This series will focus on spiritual poetry of the last 1,000 years and will features the perspective of prominent mystical traditions. Each week the class will read aloud and discuss poems from Rumi, Hafiz, Kabir, St. John of the Cross, Rilke, and others.
The main texts for this class are:
Rumi: The Big Red Book, Coleman Bark’s Magnum Opus
Mala of the Heart: 108 Sacred Poems
You are invited to bring your own favorite poem for an open discussion in the context of mysticism and the nature of consciousness.
Cost: $60 pesos per class. Drop-ins welcome.
Ravi was born into a business family in East Africa and raised in India in the Vaishnav Hindu tradition. He has become a modern-day messenger of a variety of Vedic studies through his lectures and workshops. Ravi has an MBA from Boston University and has lived in Bombay, London, Boston and San francico. He is the co-editor of Mala of the Heart – 108 Sacred Poems.
