It’s a party and everyone’s invited!
There are party guests who instantly make friends with the rest of the attendees, and around them there is a permanent atmosphere of laughter, joy, peace and celebration. Of course, there are also the guests who gravitate around the more vivacious crowds, looking to get their share of fun – which is a goal they often accomplish!
There are those guests who make themselves essential at parties, because they help organize the guests; they always know where the nearest bathrooms are and point others in the right direction; they have great ideas for activities and games; and sometimes they even stay afterwards to help clean up and organize.
On a corner, quietly sipping a glass of wine or mineral water, there’s always the quiet guest who enjoys the general atmosphere, and whose main idea of fun is people-watching. Then there are the performers: guests who dance and/or sing beautifully, and who provide an artistic side to the party that is always very welcome!
There’s also those guests who always leave early because they are tired, or because they have multiple events to attend on the same evening. We cannot overlook the melancholic “I’d-rather-not-be-here” guests, who show up because of obligation to the host or hostess. And, how can we forget the unexpected guest? Whether because they’re the last-minute date of another guest, or because they happened to be in the neighbourhood, they always bring a very special ‘something’ to the party – the element of surprise.
There are, of course, so many more kinds of guests at parties. We’re very much looking forward to welcome them all to our FUNdraiser next Saturday, August 31st. From 7:30 until 10:30 pm there will be delicious hors d’oeuvres; wine; great live music by David Garza & Vudu Chile; as well as Billy White; as well as fantastic live entertainment provided by Daniel Packard and Jennifer Hofmann. A raffle and two auctions (one live, one silent) and, we’re sure, many other surprises. Each ticket costs 400 pesos, but if you buy 2 or more you get a special price of 350 pesos each.
