A Reminder from a Dear Friend….

This last week I received an email from one of my dearest long-term friends, Sharon Scandrett Hibdon. I met her in Memphis, Tennessee years ago (actually it was in the early 1980’s) and we quickly connected due to our common interest in consciousness and healing work. Our connection continued over the years and, as a result, we created holistic health centers and programs for healing in Memphis and Dallas. We always knew and trusted our collective awareness that evolution of consciousness for ourselves and others was “the only game in town”. Then, she moved to Iowa and continued her work and I moved to Mexico and continued mine. Parallel lives of healing. This last week I received the following email.

This Is What I Shall Do…

This week has been an intense week of heightened emotions due to the inauguration of an unpopular US President, many peaceful and not so peaceful protests and marches, flurries of news stories filled with anger, hope, sadness, excitement, etc. etc. It all felt a bit surreal, especially from a hotel room in Mexico City where my husband and I had escaped from our home construction for a few days.

Is Simplicity Possible?

I’ve been thinking and reading a lot, lately, about simplicity. So much has been written about that topic; leading a simple life, reducing your life of clutter, enjoying the simplicity and silence of nature, etc. etc. But, how do we do that?? I’m sure there are hundreds of ways but, for me, I have decided to try three different ways. And, I’d like to share those with you.

Change Can Be A Conscious Choice

The last time I sent out a newsletter I talked about decision fatigue. Well, I still have it! Smile. Do you? There have been so many choices to make in so many areas that some days my head literally seems to spin. Not a pretty sight. And, guess what, I created it all! It was my decision to make all of these changes and I’m happy about every one. Nobody is to blame. Darn. So, I keep reminding myself that I consciously chose it and I’m in gratitude for the choice (especially when I want to scream).
